NUVVULA SADDHI
A delicious and healthy sesame seed flavored rice with spices and a crunchy tempering makes a great meal on its own.

Ingredients

Cooked rice
For the sesame seed spice mix

Instructions
Making of sesame seed spice mix
Dry roast sesame seeds, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds and transfer them on a plate aside.
Now add a tsp of oil and roast torn red chilies and place them along with other roasted spices.
Once the roasted spices have cool down to room temperature, blend these spices to a semi-coarse powder.
Make a tempering
Heat a skillet or tadka pan, add oil and once its hot add in mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Now add in peanuts and fry until they turn golden brown.
Later add in torn red chilies, curry leaves, turmeric powder and fry for a minute or two.
Turn off the stove and keep the tempering aside.
Let's make Nuvvula saddhi/sesame seed flavored rice now
In a mixing bowl or wide plate spread out the cooked rice and let it come down to room temperature.
Add in prepared sesame seed spice mix, salt and give everything a good mix.
Now add in tempering and mix until everything is completely incorporated.
Serve the prepared Nuvvula saddhi/sesame seed flavored rice along with yogurt and fryums.
Notes
You can also use black sesame seeds for making this rice.
Although traditionally we don't add any lentils in making the spice mix, you can add in chana dal, urad dal to make it more nutritious and flavorful.
